Busy month.

Sorry if you have been looking at my blog.  I have been trying to keep it in order of when things actually occur.  I was gone for a couple of weeks so I'm trying to catch up and post all the things that happened in my travels.  So if you have looked in the last couple of days you may want to look down some more.  I have updated and added new post and will continue to do so in the next week or so.  Thanks!

Lucas at 6 months!

After Lucas's 6 month check up he is now.  19lbs 11oz.  and he is 27 inches long. He's going to be a tall one.
The first picture is of my sassy sister Lisa with her mommy haircut.  I think she looks so good.  And Lucas in his Mariners outfit!   Next one is of Lucas in his Texas shirt that I brought him as a little souvenir.  Next is a picture of my friend Susan's little boy Chance. Him and Lucas were born a week apart.  Chance being one week older.(Lucas on the left and Chance on the right)    And the last one is what Lucas thinks of his Auntie taking all the pictures of him!

Funny Faces!

I had often wondered where Joey (another nephew) had learned to make all the funny faces that he makes.  But I have since learned it comes quite naturally.  It runs in the family.  I'll give you some examples.
Joey also closes his eyes like his uncle when taking pictures.  The first two pictures are of Joey (our oldest nephew) and Jared.  And then the next one is of Michael, Jared, and Joey.  Michael often hides when the camera comes out.  So here is one that he let me take.  Michael is starting his Senior year of high school.  He plays on his schools football team and also wrestles.  Joey aka Squidly(he's in the Navy).  He's always good for a laugh!

Day at the RACES!!!

This was a FUN day!  My sisters company had a picnic at this Go-Kart place.  And we got to race!  So this is us being goofy and trying helmets on.  I think we kind of look like aliens.  Then the race is on!  We didn't do as well as the guys on our team would have liked.  We came in 13th place out of 20 some teams.  I slowed them down.  I was so nervous they(the go-kart place) had all these rules.  You couldn't go into the grass or you got a fine.  Be sure you don't burn out the clutch.  BOY just trying to keep it all straight and drive too.  And watch out for all the others driving or zooming by.  By time you were comfortable following the track it was time to switch drivers.  All in all it was a lot of fun!  I want to do it again and maybe actually get some practice time before the race.  Lucas even had fun watching!

My name isn't Christie anymore it's CRISPY! =)

So while in Washington I got to spend time with my friend Susan and her adorable kids. And one day when I was visiting her daughter Sierra came up to me and was like hey Crispy. We all started laughing. It's true kids say the darnest things. Susan's husband is currently deployed. She is doing an amazing job keeping it all together. I often wonder what it would be like to have to explain to young children that their dad will be gone for sometime. And how in the world do you ever never let them see you cry or be upset about your loved one being so far away from you as well. I have enough trouble just keeping me together while Ralph is gone. Let alone four beautiful children(Susan's kids: Sierra, Ruby, Stan and Chance) I think Military spouses are special and incredible to be able to deal with being both parents and handling all the household responsibilities.  And give a big applause to all those that have done so or will. If people only knew what military spouses go through. Then maybe some people wouldn't be so quick to judge or make stupid comments! Just something that drives me CRAZY!!! So be proud knowing your doing your best!  I think because there is that show called Army Wives that's what people think our lives are like.  IT'S JUST NOT TRUE!

More family pictures! John's Family

I am a picture taker!  Always have been.  I'm so glad I can actually do something fun with them.  I love capturing moments and always have my camera in my purse or hand.  I love the picture of John and Joshua it's so cute!  The next one is of grandpa and Jenna.  She was just playing and hanging out with Grandpa.  Next is the coolest cop (brother-in-law John)I know and my fabulous sister-in-law Elena.  They are so cute and fun together. I really enjoyed spending so much time with them.  Then there's Jenna with a blue mouth.  She really enjoyed that candy.  The last picture is taken in front of my house in Washington.  With all three of my adorable niece and nephews.  LOVE THEM!!!
